Material meets meaning.
We blend timeless craftsmanship with modern design to create furniture that lasts a lifetime.
Crafting Timeless Stories
u003cpu003eIn the heart of Ključ, the historic royal town in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, an idea was born nearly three decades ago. What began as a modest woodworking workshop has grown into a company built on craftsmanship, passion, and a profound respect for wood. Today, that story is Smarvet d.o.o.—a company where tradition and innovation exist in perfect harmony. Our team of 40 dedicated professionals works with carefully selected hardwoods every day, creating furniture that is more than functional. Every piece carries its own character, tells its own story, and reflects the soul of the material from which it was crafted.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eWe believe that true luxury is not defined by excess, but by the attention devoted to every detail. Although our advanced manufacturing capabilities enable efficient serial production, we approach every piece as if it were one of a kind, combining meticulous hand-finishing with the aesthetic precision of an artisan’s workshop rather than a factory. Today, our furniture reaches customers far beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving both regional and international markets. Wherever our products go, they carry the values that define our name: integrity, reliability, respect for deadlines, and uncompromising quality. The wood we choose is never selected by chance. As holders of the FSC certification, we integrate responsible sourcing into every stage of material selection because we believe that sustainable manufacturing and timeless beauty should always go hand in hand. Regardless of the finishing technique, every product we create complies with the EN 71-3 standard, ensuring the highest level of safety for every member of the family, including the youngest.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eWhile bringing our clients’ visions to life remains at the heart of what we do, our journey has naturally evolved into creating a design language of our own—collections that carry our signature, reflect our values, and express our vision of how wood should live within contemporary spaces.u003c/pu003e
To us, furniture is never just an object. It is a lasting legacy, shaped by nature, refined through craftsmanship, and designed to be cherished for generations. Every piece that leaves our workshop reflects nearly three decades of experience, an enduring passion for natural materials, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence.
The origin that defines us
Smarvet sources every raw material exclusively from the domestic market — directly from the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Working with local suppliers we build more than quality: we build a community, support the local economy and keep a responsible relationship with nature through shorter transport routes and a smaller ecological footprint.

Where wood is given a soul
u003cpu003eFinishing is not the last step of the process. It is the moment the wood is given a soul. It shapes not only how a piece looks, but how the material lives and breathes in the room it inhabits.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eWe choose finishes that preserve the authenticity of the timber and let it keep its natural rhythm. They protect the surface and slow its ageing, while bringing forward the tones and structure nature wove into every fibre.u003c/pu003e

Colour, safely made
We use exclusively safe, environmentally responsible lacquers certified to the EN 71-3 standard — because beauty must never come at the expense of the people who touch and live with our furniture every day.

Ombré lacquering
A speciality of the house: a gradual transition of colour across a single surface that gives each piece a layered, almost painterly character.
All timber is dried to 8% moisture and finished with hard-wax oil. No solvent lacquers, no plastic edging.

Warranty
A guarantee that reflects trust.
Because of the exceptional quality and durability of what we make, we stand proudly behind every piece that leaves our workshop with a guarantee that reflects our confidence in it. Our commitment to quality and longevity means long-term value — furniture built to last through years, and quite possibly through generations.
Wood that remembers the hand
We work exclusively with timber from controlled European forests. Every board is dried naturally and then kilned to 8% moisture — the minimum that guarantees stability across generations.
